Beverly Trent is an experienced DI trainer. She began her career in education in 2000 as a 2nd and 3rd grade instructor at Clarcona Elementary School in Orlando, Florida. From 2003-2006, she became the Reading Teacher/Literacy Coach at Meadow Woods Middle School (an ESE and ELL center) where she implemented the Corrective Reading: Decoding/Comprehension programs for students. She then moved to Columbus, Ohio in 2007 to be the Regional Consultant and Intervention Consultant for McGraw-Hill Education. It was there that she delivered trainer sessions, sales presentations, program training, and webinars for DI until 2010. After leaving McGraw-Hill in 2010, Beverly moved back to Florida and started Kidz 1st Consulting and Tutoring Services. Beverly provides DI program training and works with districts to develop and manage implementation plans for various DI programs. She has also trained college students in the use of DI programs.
Beverly Trent has a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education and a Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida.
