Cheri Gerrein is currently working as an implementation manager for IDEA Schools in Texas. She began her education career teaching second and third grade in Cincinnati, Ohio. She had previously supported 12 schools in Kentucky and Tennessee in a K-3 Reading Mastery intervention as part of NIFDI's partnership with the Elgin Foundation.

A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Cheri holds a BS in Communication Art and Elementary Education and an M.A. in Elementary Education. She has helped schools implement Direct Instruction through her work with Conquest Consulting, McGraw-Hill Education, and other agencies. She previously served as a trainer for the Association for Direct Instruction, training teachers throughout the nation on basic and advanced Direct Instruction programs.

Currently, Ms. Gerrein resides in Villa Hills, KY, with her husband and two children. She enjoys running and spending time outdoors with her family.
