Pat AlmosImplementation Manager
"Teachers who love teaching, teach children who love learning."
- Robert John Meehan
Patricia Almos comes to NIFDI with a strong background in teaching and Direct Instruction consulting and implementation. Her instruction career comes after earning degrees in Elementary Education and Vocal and Instrumental Music from Bemidji State University. Patricia also completed her Master’s of Art and Curriculum from the University of St. Thomas, and gained a K-12 Reading Endorsement from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Putting her knowledge of art, music, and education to use, Patricia taught music and art for over five years at schools in Minnesota and North Dakota, as well as teaching various grade levels more generally for over 15 years in the Minnesota area. Her other experiences in Minnesota include a 12 year stint as the Reading Director at Hinckley Elementary, working with student teachers for four years at Southwest State University, and being the Master Coach for the Minnesota Reading Corps.
Patricia previously worked for NIFDI as a consultant and implementation manager for 13 years (2001-2014), and gave guidance in Reading, Math, Writing, and Spelling programs. This work took her all over the globe, including stays in Guam, Hawaii, Australia, Illinois, Texas, and more. We welcome Patricia back as an IM and know that her prior experience with implementation and working with teachers will serve her, NIFDI, and our partner schools well.
