Sheila Campbell comes to NIFDI as a proven teacher, leader, and coach, with many years of Direct Instruction experience. Sheila has been teaching a variety of grades and subjects for 15 years, from early childhood educational programs at the North Raleigh Church of Christ Preschool, to working with kindergarteners and third graders across a number of charter schools in North Carolina. She has an extensive history of implementing Research Based Interventions, as well as classroom and behavior management systems. As the Direct Instruction Peer Coach for both Franklin Academy and Youngsville Academy, Sheila assisted and coached teachers to successfully implement Direct Instruction strategies, and analyzed student data to ensure they were placed properly and on track for mastery.
Ms. Campbell has earned a BA in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and also received, with honors, an M.Ed. in Teaching and Learning/Elementary Education from Liberty University. Sheila has also attended DI coaching trainings: The NIFDI Coaching Academy, and an In-service Coaches Training taught by Ed Schaefer.
Ms. Campbell has been with NIFDI for 3 years and has worked with schools in Austin and Baton Rouge, supporting K-2 and CSI.
