Example Results: Comparing One Group with A Larger Group to Which it Belongs

Educational consumers may ask, "How does the performance of students at my school compare with the performance of students in a larger group to which it belongs?" For instance, one might want to compare results of a school to the district, of a district to the state, or a classroom to the school. Often the reports provided by testing agencies contain such comparative information. Click below for examples of these comparisons with the three types of input data. Note that to obtain tests of statistical significance with these analyses users only need to know the number of students tested within their own group, not in the larger comparison group.
