Corrective Reading program evaluation for struggling readers in third grade

This study examines the effect of the Corrective Reading (CR) program on the reading achievement of four third grade students. All four students had been identified as low-performing students. CR was implemented as supplemental instruction to their normal reading instruction. Curriculum-based measures were administered to measure student gains in oral reading fluency over the course of the study. Results indicate that all four students demonstrated gains in oral reading fluency and met the CR goals for each lesson.
