Corrective Reading Decoding Level A

The Corrective Reading program provides systematic reading instruction to students performing below grade-level expectations in grades 3 and above. Corrective Reading Decoding A supports non-readers, those who are extremely deficient in decoding skills, by teaching sound-spelling relationships, reading strategies for sounding out words, and applying those strategies both in isolation and in context. Students who place into Decoding A may recognize some words but lack adequate strategies to successfully read words like frost and track.

Participants will need to print a set of training materials, in color if possible, to use during training. Please expect to receive access to the masters a week in advance.

Access information for remote trainings will be sent the day before the training. If you do receive your access information by Noon PST the day before the training, reach out to bwickman@nifdi.org.

Payment Policy: Full payment or a Purchase Order must be received at least 2 days prior to training to reserve your spot. 

Cancellation Policy: A full refund will be issued if our office receives a written request by October 6, 2025, or if NIFDI has to cancel the event. Cancellations after that date will not be refunded; however, we do allow substitutions. A written request must be received in our office before any refunds will be processed.
