The Corrective Reading program provides systematic reading instruction to students performing below grade level expectations in grades 3 and above. Corrective Reading Decoding A supports non-readers, those who are extremely deficient in decoding skills, by teaching sound-spelling relationships, reading strategies for sounding out words, and applying those strategies both in isolation and in context. Students who place into Decoding A may recognize some words but lack adequate strategies to successfully read words like frost and track.
Access information for remote trainings will be sent the day before the training. If you do receive your access information by Noon PST the day before the training, reach out to bwickman@nifdi.org.
